I do have one problem with that. Someone on another website personally attacked me, and after I replied and blocked her, she edited her first post to make herself look like the victim. She spammed many people, telling them to attack me. And the worst part is, she's right here on this website.

An edit button is a slippery slope even if that seems counter intuitive. It would have to have very specific and narrow parameters to not create a significant risk for misinformation.
