Are there any organization’s currently organizing a strategic plan / boycott? Seems to be A LOT of people want to get involved but need some direction.
With the energy surrounding a boycott of Target, do you anticipate any individuals or organizations will step up and lead the process...to follow the strategies that you presented during your show?
I would say this is a complex problem that we as a people need to make some difficult decisions….unless we create our own “big box” etc in multiple industries they will continue to exploit and use us…we have power 💰that has not been harnessed to our advantage..they aren’t moved by anything but 💰💰💰
We need to focus on putting them out of business. I agree, there needs to be a collective strategy. I say we start with one business at a time and focus on individual states. Walmart is the biggest employer in the South. If we put them out of business in one state at a time…
…that would send a strong message. Focus on Walmart in a state with a large Black population. Prepare a long term strategy incorporating large donors, Black churches and grass roots individuals with a goal to remove Walmart from the state and replace it.
This would include starting a new business like a “Freedom Mart”, poaching Walmart workers and paying them a livable wage and benefits. We would need to boycott all Walmart’s in that state. Once we make Walmart into a Kmart, we start again in the next state…
