If only we’d known we’d wind up here, in this future, in these moments, in this joy, with this laughter, where we eventually whisper “20 minutes to the
pound “ to them, secure in the knowledge they’ll do the same someday, to those tiny loves, even if we aren’t around to hear it.

However, I always cheer up when I hear the words, "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

I miss my Dad every day, but I haven't cried about losing him in a long time.
He died just as I was becoming an adult. We were just starting to like each other as adults...
Keeping your dad's memories alive is such a pure love... he sounds like an awesome Dad. And I'll bet he thought you were pretty awesome, too. ❤️
And i lost my Dad 34 years ago, still miss him.
PS: he’s still there with you reminding you “20 minutes a pound”.
Remembering our folks on holidays keeps their memory alive. It’s a good thing ❤️
P.s. Do you have a subscription block list for anything Elon Musk?

Glad you’ve got someone for the ickies. I miss my mom in these times too. Holidays are the hardest, and we shared a birthday. It’s beautiful to remember them.
This made me cry in November of 21 and again this morning.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

How about writing a book, a tribute to your dad?
"Twenty Minutes To The Pound" seems like a perfect title.
Happy Thanksgiving!
