Oh wow, that was an excellent read! I’ve always had a strange attachment to this movie, maybe from seeing it at a really young age and maybe because it set a few things in motion for me but it’s so nice reading such a thorough exploration of it.

I consider it life-changing because it was my first trip to the theaters, at 4. Hell of a "first theater trip." Also still think that shot with Keaton in the dark/first time we see the bat-signal = coolest shot from any Batman movie.

Capitalism & the established patriarchy being the core villain of the story and being the source for all the main characters’ being is so well done.
