It really escalates in way that I've always wanted to see in that kind of movie. The full spectrum from mums with glasses in the beginners class, going up to brains on floor.

And a lot of people in the credits looked related which added to the charm.

Conclave is gorgeous to look at!!
And the performances are all tremendous
But Catholicism and its inner logic and machinations are so foreign to me, I found it super difficult to get into it.
But I am aware it's a "me" problem and not the movie's.

I'm technically Catholic (albeit very lapsed) and actually feel the same way about its strangeness! I had no idea how they choose the Pope (except for the smoke signal bit), but that's actually one of the things I enjoyed about it - getting to see something that was previously a total mystery to me.

But the thing with Conclave is that it felt to me like I needed to be familiar with Catholic faith going in
