This misunderstands the range of goals that are possible, and reduces things to electoralism. Of course I wish they’d thrown him in a pit, but chipping away at his base, enabling different results in midterms (and 2020!) and gathering evidence on its own for allies all have value.

We don't need to impeach Trump, we can and should try to impeach every cabinet member who gave access to Elon's "data miners". That's a worthwhile process for sure.
