Liquid nitrogen is incredibly cheap if you buy it in bulk. It's a byproduct of welding/industrial gas production. The gas suppliers use cryogenic coolers to chill the air we breathe to concentrate O2, argon, CO2, N2. Nitrogen is literally the byproduct.
