I was a kid in El Paso, and our rock station KLAQ had a call-in feature called “Smash Or Trash” where a caller got to play program director. She “trashed” “Ages of You,” which I immediately loved after mere seconds. I have never forgiven KLAQ and that joyless caller 38 years ago.
