okay, so first thing, I've always wondered about tristans powers, although it's not very clear about what they specifically do, it's mostly related to the fact he can turn gold, and turning gold can make him do things that he wouldn't be able to do other wise, lemme explain,

In the birthday doc, when dave is telaprted into the void, it specifically says "His heart was beating so loudly, louder than all the noise going on. But, eventually, the noise just disappeared"
When he telaports, would he notice from that? Like how dave knows he's about to teleport when he sees

parts of his body turning into polygonal shapes? Another thing, how would tristan even just, teleport there? This may be a thought but, what if this was Expunged doing? Dave wasn't stressed in the doc, at least not shown to be stressed. There were no like obvious signs!

Dave could be teleported by hiding his emotions, like in the "void incident" or like in the original vs dave and bambi, when in the middle of insanity dave turns 3d and freaks out, there were no tell-tale signs that he was nervous in the beginning! Like he wasn't sweating or anything!

But when he's just about to turn 3d he neverously looks around and starts sweating, RIGHT BEFORE TURNING 3D! can he tell when he will be teleported to the void when it's too late? And then that brings me back to Tristan, can he do that too? It cant just be his golden powers right?

One thing is that it's never really mentioned about tristans powers other the the fact he just, has them. I think he has always had them, but just like, never actually used them or acknowledged them due to the fact he had no idea they existed, and neither did dave...up until the birthday incident.
