FWIW, I only use Linux and probably 90% of the games I play just work with the default Proton selection on Steam. I don’t blame you for wanting zero effort (the other 10% that mostly just need a specific Proton or some launch args) but it’s definitely worth a shot

The biggest issue with Linux gaming is anticheat on a lot of multiplayer games. This is the number 1 reason I find Linux hard to recommend to friends.
