With the insane gerrymandering in many southern states, they actually are often being forced to vote for Republicans. Or rather the way the votes are grouped defeats attempts to vote otherwise. 6 out of 10 voted for the Democrat? Ah, but that's one district, the other 4 each count as a district. 🤬

As Texan, yeah the issue is a lot of fucked up voting laws to make it harder to vote. However it is also apathy. Voter turn out in the south is shit across the board, despite somethings improving like early voting days.

I don’t think liberals want people to suffer, this is why we vote Blue. We want to live in a country that is safe for ALL, equal for ALL. But, we are exhausted. Liberals did not want any of this, and we are tired of getting blamed for everything wrong with the country.

But ~1/3 of Americans didn’t vote. In an election as important as this one. All my life I’ve voted/worked for people who were going to help others more than they would help me. This is false look at the county level down south. Trump won by 80% in many counties that don’t have a high black population. Compare that to similarly racial breakdowns in the Midwest and it’s closer to 55% or 60%. I could do a more robust analysis but it’s obvious.

Look I’m not saying white people don’t vote heavily Republican in the south, I’m saying 1) it’s not just a southern problem and 2) you should t abandon all other non-GOP voting citizens in the state to score political points
