Mine’s a swift fox! And I actually didn’t discover it for quite a while i knew was some type of mammal but couldn’t tell for ageeesss, but once I finally figured it all out it’s like a massive weight to figure myself out has been lifted from my shoulders xD
I’m an older fur, even though I was in the fandom for a while as a bobcat, I just never really clicked with the species till I found a fursuit that made me go through a series of realizations and evaluate my history in a new context. Did you see the world in a new way when you figured yours out?
When I found mine, so many other things started to make sense.The way I dreamed of flying by scooping air with my hands, how I loved exploring the nature of perception outside of just sight, being nocturnal. I found so many relations to behaviors I had that I didn’t notice before. Was yours similar?
