What’s the TL’s fav term for magic knight type characters? I’m a big fan of the classic ‘spellsword’, and the DND player in me is a sucker for ‘Gish’ but there are a lot of cool names out there

I do also have a soft spot for Hexblade…yeah I think usually a combo of their job/practice and the kind of magic they use is p good when you’re trying to be specific.
I’ve been tossing around ideas in my head for people like Al that use demons as weapons. Something like Void Fencer or Abyss Knight
It just feels like someone saw Spellsword and created Hexblade just to be different, but I recall the very first dnd class of that actually was all about unique spells they called hexes and that was just so cool. It's just different words that mean the same and yet.
Since demons are all dark elemental or generally come from lightless places, their contractors usually all have shadowy associations so I’m trying to run with that

what do you call a magic space marine?
sailor scout!
who, if you think about it, is a magic knight, if you define one as a supernaturally empowered front line unit
in other words, tekken is a mage knight
Magic Knight
Spellsword
Hexblade
etc
I feel if you're bored you can come up with variations for anything depending on who they are. Are they just guards using fire? Flame Guardians.
Do they know their runes and their job is bodyguards? Runic Defender. etc

I also think Fencer always makes
"spell fencer" is also really good but tends to lock them into rapiers, imagery-wise imo
