I'm reading less this year compared to last, so far. I will say, I'm thankful that I've only DNF'd two books altogether. Idk if that means I'm researching well before reading, or not branching out enough? 😅🤷🏼♀️
Pan Tadeusz by Adam Mickiewicz. It’s a translated Polish historical fiction in epic poem format from the 1800s that a Polish friend suggested for our book club. It’s an important work given their history, but the misogyny, racism, and nationalism were too much for me considering the current times.
Water Shall Refuse Them by Lucie McKnight Hardy. I want to get back to it eventually, it’s just a slow burn and it turns out I currently don’t have the attention span for that 😅
Oleander Sword by Tasha Suri. I thought the first book was okay and decided to force myself to read this one, but 100 pages into it the characters were just being dumb and pissing me off every time I tried to read, so I gave up for my mental health 😂
