Bus routes are the backbone of economic activity in communities across our country - if the Government is serious about growth then they should invest in services rather than hiking fares.

Perhaps you could have a word with our LD council in Bath. The bus service is appalling and timings determined only by what suits FirstBus profits.
The only services worth anything are University buses, X39 to Bristol and Park & Ride. And Tourist buses
Isn’t it their responsibility to contract the bus operators, review their performance and implement contracted terms regarding failure to meet those standards?
Our busses can’t even get to the station since @welsh-labour.bsky.social cancelled our relief road. Since then they promised an “exemplar scheme” - is this it?

What about our rights as pedestrians for safety? We have no pavements yet the traffic seems more important to you. For us this ain’t about traffic flow, or transport, it’s about living in safety first and foremost. Our children walk to school in dangerous conditions…
I have no issue with fares going up to £3 max if there is real commitment to putting passengers first and improving networks for the passenger and not profit as it currently is. That's what I'll be judging the government on for this issue.
I see a lot of complaints and no solutions from Lib Dems. This is your platform to build credibility. You know we don't want the Tories. Now step up and prove you're capable as party.
There are roughly 5 million bus journeys made daily in London, but less than 50k a day in the whole of Devon. We have 15% the population size but 1% of the bus journeys
The average salary in London is 50% higher too!
We need proper rural public transport that is affordable and reliable #northdevon
