I have never voted Tory and never will, but these issues are linked. Brexit always lacked a reasonable justification. When educated professionals pointed this out, we were demonised as liberal elites by Tory brexiters. They've become more unhinged since. Only a fool wud vote for them.

Fiscally conservative but socially liberal. Professionally an engineer dealing with complexity daily. One of the first to use FoM. Brexit only works if you deregulate in ways UK electorate would never allow. Therefore stupid. Two things I cannot abide in Government: stupidity and lies.

I have no problem paying tax - think that Labour should have promised to raise taxes at last election. Fiscally conservative means actually fund what you promise, and be honest about it. Ok with tax. Not Ok with shitty services. Feel free to carry on insulting strangers if it makes you feel better.

Am in the UK; meaning is more nuanced here - can sit in left of Conservative Party or to the right of any of the main parties of the left. Guess we should put it down to the global internet separating people by a common language but not necessarily culture. Thanks for the gracious response.
