I would highly recommend the Avatar the Last Airbender graphic novels. I love them as an adult, but they're definitely geared toward middle grades. (Although maybe that's anime?) You can also just browse tags on Libby and Hoopla. Libby I think will let you filter by graphic novel AND middle grade.

My kiddo enjoys the Telgemeier books right now. I'm not familiar with those other authors but will see if she is or interested. She's very finicky about what she reads.

My Kid2 liked the Telgemeier books, and found the other authors while looking for something similar. I didn’t read them myself so can’t vouch for them specifically, but Kid2 liked them.
