For them, no, but he did give one to Nixon and that ticked off a lot of people. I was a kid, but the adult me now would have been very angry about that as well.

Republicans have learned from their mistakes with Nixon. They won’t fold as quickly to blatant lies, corruption, or even traitorous actions by party members.
