Love eating off a plank of wood. I love how it wicks up any moisture from your food, shows knife marks made by previous customers and can’t possibly be sanitised in a restaurant environment

I’ve eaten somewhere where they served a mixed grill on a shovel (long before this sort of stuff became fashionable), and the shovel looked like it had many years of use.

Aside from the hygiene implications, the burger was so soggy from steam off the chips that it disintegrated.
Unsurprisingly, the place is no longer in business...
