God damn...
Almost 10k. I don't get staggered by a lot, but, this is very staggering.
Thank you
Kind Regards.
That's just the ones you've personally seen on FPV footage, right?
Just personal curiosity.
While this method only accounts for a sample of the casualties, I’d like to have an impression whether it still correlates to other methods.
A graph, for example 7-day floating average, could be useful for comparison.
BBC and mediazona are great but have an important lag due to the time needed to publish obituaries and backlog of the researchers/journos.
He’s not losing sleep over dead invaders. And why should he? It’s not like Putin is.
- you see 90% of frontline losses
- 70% of rear ones
- 2 crew per vehicle die (which you don't count)
real losses are:
18.5k-19.8k dead
200 arty
401 tanks
828 IFVs
350 APCs
33 AD systems
20 radars
41 engineering
358-460 trucks (depends if front or rear)
1844-2371 transports (same as above)
So we have:
93.4 dead per day visually confirmed
145-150 dead per day with minimal crew
185-198 dead per day with likely crew
Then we have all the strikes on ammo depots, HQs, communications, training grounds, etc too 🤭
Today is day 1013, so you can take eg oryx data and divide them by 1013 to get long-term average and go from there
To compare - since the beginning of war, Oryx data, average, destroyed, not adjusted by the 90/70 rule:
Tanks 2.5
AFV 1.34
IFV 3.84
APC 0.4
Engineering 0.34
Arty 1.28 (incl MLRS)
AA 0.21
Radars 0.05
Trucks 2.98
Caveat here that some categories might not match
Tanks 3.61
IFV 7.45
APC 3.15
Arty 1.4
AA 0.23
Radars 0.14
Engineering 0.37
Trucks 19.82
So yeah, losses in those categories are significantly higher (2.8x on average) than overall average of the war.
