Still a bit under the weather but excited for day two of #GAConf! I'll be at the conference after lunch and attending the reception so please feel free to say hi and ask any questions you have. I'm excited to meet people! #GameA11y

I have a sinus infection that I had been on antibiotics for so I was no longer contagious. Tested every day for COVID, flu A, and B and came back negative. I never would put the disabled community at risk.
As I'm someone who still masks every single day, you're preaching to the choir. I am high risk for COVID and have been isolated to my home for years. This is the 1 conference that requires COVID testing to attend meaning I have a chance to not mask and can feel somewhat safe for once. Thanks tho!
I would also say, it's best not to assume someone's life circumstances based on one post. I understand the need for advocacy but as a disabled person who has been deeply affected by COVID it stings to has someone assume I don't mask based on the ONE event I get to attend a year 😮💨🫠

There’s still many benefits to masking even if you’re testing!
1. False negatives are common, especially if you’re vaxxed bc it takes longer for viral load to rise!
3. Masking helps other disabled folks feel more comfortable — they won’t know that you’re testing or that you’re not contagious
