they're prisoners, literally.

it's basically legal slavery (well, technically they get a far below minimum wage wage, but y'know, when you're in prison and it costs a lot of money to do anything)

Just to be a nitpicky asshole with the syntax: are those "incarcerated firefighters" or rather "convicts enrolled in firefighting effort".
Makes a difference and I didn't understand at first why they were incarceration firefighters.

Now i'm just imagining firefighters trying to beat the ender dragon lol, but this is still pretty cool regardless and thus highlight the fact that video games are indeed an active source of entertainment while still being a descriptive and immersive art form honestly, my heart goes out to them tho
