"C'mon people now, Smile on your brother. Everybody get together and love one another right now." Jesse Colin Young, a prolific musician known as the voice of The Youngbloods' era-defining "Get Together," died on Sunday at his home in Aiken, S.C.

Thank you, Frances, for posting Jesse Colin Young’s death this past Sunday. I cried when I found out, he was a special voice since the 60’s. He said once he lived nature as much as music and it shows in the words of the songs he wrote. He was a good human.
Thank you for posting Jesse’s death. We’ve listened to him since the 70’s. His music is something we’ll take with us the rest of our lives, the words, just magical. He once said he loved nature as much as he loved music. It’s obvious in the words to his songs.
