Wow, that sucks! I had no idea she was thought to be struggling. Usually stories about actresses struggling in life are hard to avoid. I thought she was great on Buffy,although I know that is not a universal opinion. A lot of fans cannot separate quality of performance from likeability of character.

I suspect it's hard to grow up in the public eye. Some people manage early fame. But a lot of them end up messed up. I saw some photos of her recently and she definitely seemed in distress.

Yeah, just that picture of her looked like an "old" 39 as far as women in Hollywood go. She was too thin and it aged her.

I'm always happy when one of these child stars makes it out of childhood sane. For every Fanning sisters or Jodie Foster that make it out, there are 50 that crash and burn.
