I asked why, and the lass behind the bar said it keeps the stag (bachelor for you yanks) parties away until after 8pm, when they revert to a DJ. We really liked Tallinn. A few years after our visit, during the Covid "lockdown" times, we heard an Estonian person explaining that they were looking forward to the 2 metre distancing rule going so they could get back to the usual 5. So that's why we'd liked it!

That is iffy from a licensing point of view, you have to pay extra to play more than two songs by one artist in a single hour usually.
Good choice of music though, but maybe they could play Kid A sometimes?

If it's played publicly it doesn't matter what the source is. My partner ran a background music company, and if a place wanted say an ABBA night where they play more than 2 songs by one artist per hour, they needed a different licence.
