I was astonished to learn that the EBRD discriminates against grads/post-grads from CEE unis. Basically, if you’re from CEE you have to have been to a western uni to get a job, er, covering CEE.

Just look at ECR grants/Horizon stats for a second and tell me if you see a structural problem that needs addressing first before we try to entice foreigners with universal health care and 30 days of paid leave.

This is true, although it is also ironic to see some people make the “ECR/Horizon money needs to be spread around more evenly” argument at the same time as furiously pushing back against the idea that the same thing should happen with NCN grants.
