Yes to both questions. I live in the Pacific Northwest and iced tea is generally served plain brewed. You add sugar to your preference (or not at all). I believe it is served pre-sweetened in the South and it can be called Sweet Tea or just Tea.
Hot and strong with a little cold milk for me. Yorkshire Tea brand is the best. And we don’t leave the teabag hanging out of the cup on a bit of string!
I had iced tea in Norway and surprised it tasted of lemonade!?
I never leave the teabag in my hot tea either. Makes it bitter. I love warn, black tea with milk and honey. Some iced tea is made with a lot of lemon so that's probably why it tasted like lemonade.
Have you ever heard of a Long Island Iced Tea? I can tell ya some stories about those! 😂
Had to look that one up! Something I won’t be trying now as I gave up alcohol 18 years ago but sounds tasty! I have to ration my tea now. No coffee as I was addicted and drinking 10+ big mugs of it a day and it caused me heart problems!!
