I’d only add 1) The actual subject being fought over doesn’t matter much, because the point is to keep the rage aimed in the right direction, and 2) It’s *better* to pick silly things you don’t care about, because then it’s no big deal if you lose, and 3) you can keep the fight going with new drivel

The aim here is: as much wealth and power as possible to very wealthy reactionaries, via screaming abuse at the people who will hamper that outcome, to ensure constant moral panics make the public hate and fear those people. That is the whole show.

And this is the important part: there is no co-opting this stuff for good and moral purposes. It was designed by malicious people for malicious ends, so every attempt to co-opt it for progress is just another punt back down the park towards your own penalty box, at best.
