This stuff is like the Iraq War going to hell IMO: it’s not good news, it is in fact the worst news possible, but have to face up to it and ask how we got here and who is to blame. And just like the Iraq War, Afghanistan, the financial crisis, austerity, it wasn’t blue haired students who fucked up.

The US government just dropped a bomb on European postwar security arrangements, blowing eighty years of rabidly defended policy to shit, and not only has nobody owned up to any kind of miscalculation, but they have revved themselves up to maximum gung-ho enthusiasm. So no, I guess.
