I did 4 yrs in TO.. I refer to it as 'hard time'π€£.. honestly I couldn't get out of there fast enough, 'went back to my love, beautiful BC. π Now back in NB.
I'm a Mainer and that's the area I'm looking at. I work in healthcare, which seems to be a desirable profession for emigration. Just trying to save enough money to get there!
Great people live in our East Coast. Salt of the earth, friendly and sometimes move at a bit of a slower pace because it is the right way to be. I am a big fan and late hubby and I enjoyed visiting when we could.
lol Absolutely.. and the **s l o w** part is spot on.. I was away from here for 30+yrs (BC) & I was in culture shock for a year after I moved back.. so slowπ
I am sick with worry about UkraineπΊπ¦.. I can't imagine how you are all feeling.. job losses, can't trust the FAA, food safety, disease control.. he needs to be unalived.
I don't know from where yet. I've been trying to track that down for years. His union civil war record just says he's from New Brunswick, Canada. His last name was Keene.
That name doesn't ring a bell, at least in this area.. interesting, I wonder if there were other family members here that maybe stayedπ€.. mysteries.
I think they may have migrated to Maine at some point. Yes, I have not found many Keenes in NB. Mysteries, yes. I'm an amateur genealogist so I know about those. I've broken a few brick walls, just not this one yet.
