Handy People,

Have you checked the gasket? If you aren't sure and are going to the store, the “easiest” solution is to buy a replacement hose and plumber tape. That way you aren't guessing if its the hose or the fit.

I’d try the tape first and then the hose. I don’t think you’d need the whole hose.

Yes you should use plumbers tape on old or new, it fills in small gaps to seal, i use it even if I swap the shower head or hookup a bidet don’t think you need a new hose yet tho

eh probably wiggled a bit! If it’s a slow drip hopefully it’s fine and it’s a sealant issue. there could be a rubber washer in there and bc it’s old the little wiggle bothered it so check for that too. Praying it’s simple so you can finish 🙏🏽

Agreed. I’d try the tape first and then the hose if necessary. I doubt you’ve damaged your existing hose. They’re flexible.

If you stop the water and pull it off, is there a gasket or washer in there? If there is and it's old, then you might be able to replace it and stop the dripping

It might also need thread tape

Check to see that hose is tight. Since you moved the fridge likely with the water still on/off you may have loosened the nut just a tad. Otherwise, turn off the water valve. Remove the hose and check for a rubber o-ring. Easily replaced at a real hardware store like Ace or True Value.
