In 2024, Russia pulled just 1,150 tanks from storage—half the number deployed in 2023.

There isn't much left to pull out. 500 T-72Bs and ~200 T-80s, the ones passed over 3 times already. About 1000 T-72As stored front to back/side to side for 40 years, so decrepit they haven't even tried. 650 T-64s they can't restore without Ukrainian help and ~1000 T-62s/T-55 passed over once.

They might not run out but it will become increasingly difficult as logic would dictate they have pulled the units in "least worst" condition first. So every time they pull another it will take a bit more time and money to make it work and at the same time older and older gear will be pulled.

Or in short...every time they need to fix up another unit from storage it will be older, less secure for the crew and more costly to refurbish.

Its a bit like tractorpulling where the load get heavier and heavier to pull, until the tracorpulling it will get bogged down and unable to go any further

It won't run out of tanks, it will just be left with the remaining trash ready to be melted down in the first attack. Until the 3 days of Kiev, Russia always used tank and meat tactics.
