Former Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine, Matsuda Kuninori, warned at a press conference yesterday that "if a fair and lasting peace is not achieved [...] another country could start a war of aggression in Eastern Asia" & stressed that Japan must be involved in discussions on ending the war in Ukraine

That would be a good way to get the EU interested in helping Japan in case they needed it
And, while we're at it, how about South Korea taking the exchanges opportunity patent here?
If Trump's "deal" for Ukraine is 50% ownership of Ukrainian oil+gas+minerals in exchange for military support, Trump could demand 50% ownership of TSM and Toyota next or else meet with Xi and invite China to invade.

No more tariffs, no more need to protect Taiwan
So no. They have nothing to do there, like South Korea they are free to help and then eventually speak about peace talk.
they sanction russia even in 2014.
They earned a spot in the negotiations and is a powerful and influential country for ukraine to have on their side
However who is involved in peace talks and the resulting security guarantees should be a decision of the Ukrainian government only. Other countries that act like they are in control and can push decisions should be ignored.
Both S.Korea and Japan have already signed a Defence partnership with the EU in November 2024.
Sure it can.
It’s happening right now!
FBI and CIA are being purged.
CIA’s boss is “Solovyov’s girlfriend” (!)
Can’t be worse, can it?

Strike, court cases, block the country…
Americans need to become French, or Ukrainian (remember Maidan)
But for us Europeans, an alliance with America is not possible anymore.
They’re being fired by DOGE which is not a government (elected) agency, just Musk and a bunch of kids.
They need to stay in place commanding the army.
They can’t be fired without the decision going to congress first.
Otherwise, it will get not 1, but 2(!) "North Koreas" at their borders.
And... cherry on top: an emboldened, unrestrained, Musk-owning China 🇨🇳.
