Spent most of the day on the streets of Belgrade today. It was beautiful, merry, funny, but also deeply respectful for the people who lost their lives on Nov 1 2024 in Novi Sad.
Unfortunately, the regime used nazi groups to provoke an incident against the present police, which ended the whole event.

Do not expect way too much from the demonstrations in Budapest.First of all, it was our usual national "independence day".Secondly, the ones who organized them: Orban, and his challenger, who was his loyal minion until last year, and says almost exactly the same as Orban (e.g. not Ukraine friendly).

I have relatives in Beograd on mother's side, they disowned me when I moved to Ukraine, which says it all (pro-ruzzian & pro-Vucic). I doubt they are there on the streets. 😐

We still have to figure out what nappened and what to do. There were strong sound wawes that spread panic and ended the protest. Students who led the protest will probably go out with a plan for further actions. My personal feeling is that we are sliding towards Belorussian type of dictatorship.
