It's very well animated but the movie is absurdly predictable with basically no stakes till the last 1/4th of the movie. It hits several story beats from many other animated movies too so it really just feels like a "Greatest Hits." Paired with this being the final sendoff to Dreamworks feels BAD

Yeah I can see that. First half of the movie is like a nature documentary and the second half somehow is a protest against science.
