I have one group chat in which we ask "So, what's good today?" and replies include things like, "Well, the kitchen's clean," or "I heard a woodpecker on the way to the bus this morning." Which is very, very tiny, but it helps.

i think we should replace “how are you?” with “hey things are generally bad, how are you personally?” just to make things easier on everyone trying to answer in a way that doesn’t initially seem like you’re either delusional or complicit
