I like honey crisps and Fuji. Unfortunately, you have to peel them if you’re going to bake with them, unlike Granny Smith or other classic dessert apples.

Red delicious are lie apples. They are red, sure, but they’re nothing resembling delicious. They taste like styrofoam.

I like honey crisps for eating, pink ladies for applesauce, and Granny Smith for baking.

My favorite are Braeburn apples (which I can't get where I live.) They are sweet & tart and work well with being eaten raw and being cooked. Next, would probably be Pink Lady and Honey Crisp. Red Delicious apples are bitter and mealy and ick.
