Let’s keep sending letters to the White House urging publication of the ERA.

Hi Jill, I received a response from President Biden. While it doesn’t promise action, the tally has started. Hopefully the White House will receive enough letters to cause some positive action. Thank you for your efforts to get the ERA published as the 28th Amendment, and all you do for Democracy.

38 states ratified the ERA as of 1/27/2020;the Archivist can certify VA’s ratification & publish the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution.This means it will be affirmed, valid & will give women and LGBTQIA folks standing in lawsuits forcing the courts to take us seriously.

Biden has cont’d to deflect his duty to cause the Archivist to publish onto Congress. Congress’ job was done in 1972, when it sent #ERA to the States.

Biden has the Const’l “Take Care” duty to direct Archivist to #PublishTheERA via 1 USC §106(b).
