i have absolutely no idea why a fighting game would make any sense for this cast of musicians who come from a rhythm game and do not do any combat

ngl the biggest reason it's not practical to make a prsk fighting game is that the cast is fixed?

project sekai has twenty gay-ass theatre kids and six vocaloids, and you kinda need them all in the base roster. which means a lot of upfront work and nothing left to make into dlc

and that's why they'd be better served by an RPG, wherein each unit has a smaller story leading to a bulky finale where you can mix and match party members from different units. like Live A Live but for depressed teens

oh yeah that would make way more sense

you could even arrange things so you're doing Music Battles rather than actual combat, since that's literally a thing vbs do in the game already. that'd make much more sense

however i like fighting games though
