Finishing my work to a good standard quicker than everyone else and sitting quietly was apparently wrong. As well as being told I had "too much imagination" when instructed to write a fantastical story at age 11.

I once wrote a story so long, I got in trouble for it. (Teacher never set a limit, she just assumed no 8yo could write a story that long from imagination? About Halloween? Like, bestie, respectfully this task was /made/ for me.)
