Before the whole diss track beef started, they had a rocky relationship, but what really pissed off Kendrick was a song Drake did with J-cole saying him, Drake, and J-cole are the big three. Kendrick responded with his own song, dissing them. J-cole backed off after that, but Drake kept going.
