I just googled and found on multiple sites that the exception to this so-called new executive order is public service.

If an honorable discharge after over 20 years of military service isn’t a qualifier for “public service”

.. it wasn’t all paid off, but it made it manageable with what was left over on four loans being just over $1000 or less. At 71 years old, on a fixed income of military retirement, VA, and Social Security, it was doable. To add to serious concern, reduce or eliminate any of those: HOMELESS + worse
