I'm INCHES from offering 75 for this pen that is easy to find new for 220, and I won't be mad if somebody else does exactly that. It needs a new ($25!) converter and goodness knows how long that ink has been sitting there.

There are three options: crappy photography and a trick of the light; architect nib grind which does not come standard on this pen but can be done; or it's been dropped. I can work with that last bit but it will never be what it was.
Yep that's what I meant by case b. That would explain why the spot on the feed that would usually be marked with nib width isn't. Vendors don't usually have the assorted grinds, but if you go right to Aurora they have several.
I have figured out the nib situation BUT NOT WHY THEY NEVER CLEANED THE INK OUT OF THE POOR THING.
One of Aurora's 106416159 styles of Italic nib which you will never know in advance which one you are getting is casually known by not-them as "the hammerhead" and I think that's what we're lookin at.
