The cruellest part of Dry January is that it must make the worst month of the year feel like it's lasting an absolute eternity.
Nobody should have to suffer like that.

Wasn’t it a sober October ?
Another Armagnac.
The most boring month of the year.
No money? Pubs shutting? No one drinking? Bonus!
January is harsh 😊
Or you could do a week a month which is probably better for you as it gives the liver a regular break!
Too soon?! 😅😬
It's my birthday in Jan and everyone's got the face on
a) the shops would be quieter, and
b) dry August wouldn't be too bad.
I gave up booze just like that I didn't want to fall into the alcoholic trap after losing my husband
But I'm 70 this year.
So why would I deprive myself of booze (which is much cheaper here!) for one twelfth of each year that remains to me?
Sod that, we drink.
Its taught me how often reaching for a beer / opening a bottle of wine is habit rather than need / desire. Will be trying after this month to not fall back in to that (and probably failing obvs)
As rare a s hen's teeth and apparently very very good.
But it's shorter, and you can drink.
Doing Dry January is hard because I don’t like fizzy drinks and not keen on squash.
I do love tonic water though but I miss the gin in it!!
