People are out here underestimating the power of speeches like “I Have a Dream” wasn’t a speech. Staawp it. You look silly. Speeches have the power to move people—that’s why they want to bully people into silence, and that’s why we’re going to be louder than ever.

None of the "speeches" that the REAL JFK gave were speeches.
All just idle gossip .
We are grateful Mr. Booker. 💙
The pen (and free speech) is mightier than the sword. Don’t allow our freedoms to be destroyed.

Get out in the streets
Continues to amaze me when people downplay the power of a well-crafted poignant speech.
She played a pivotal role in the Freedom Rides and also led voter registration efforts and was deeply involved in the Selma Voting Rights Movement, helping pave the way for the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Speeches do move people.
People are MOVED by speeches they come from the heart - versus “tweets” or snark remarks on the net that make you feel a little endorphin hit
Speeches inspire people to DO SOMETHING for greater good
Don’t think you can say that for tweets IMO
Let's produce good ones. Example:

That's why Hakeem Jefferies is as useful as tits on a turnip and AOC is a powerhouse (and maybe Cory Booker?).
