Our last work is finally out!
In two auditory rhythmic tasks, we failed to replicate the entrainment effect in behavioral and eye-tracker outcomes๐๐๏ธ
However, we observed larger and tonic pupil size in unpredictable contexts, signaling ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ฎ

However, the behavioral results from literal and conceptual replication tasks failed to find an entrainment effect: in-phase did not lead to better outcomes than out-of-phase targets!
That is, participants showed slower responses and larger pupil size across the whole experiment with arrhythmic blocks, which suggests higher processing and arousal
On the contrary, our findings join a large group of studies that have failed to replicate the foundational results (e.g., https://doi.org/10.1016/j.brainres.2015.04.032)
