This is the feeling of someone who is driven by interaction rather than fun, I’m here to post my thoughts and stuff I like or am working on, getting like 30 likes on here feels the same as getting 500 likes on twitter to me
This thread is wild cause it's seemingly a lot of teen to early 20 somethings taking issue with the atmosphere or lack of engagement or whatev and I don't WANNA be like "ohhhh kids these days" but
The divide between what we want in a site and the pace we seem to operate at could not be more at odds
it can suck when you don't get much traction going on w/ what you post, espec. For artists where they NEED it for livelihood but
When my notifs get above like 3, my mind is conditioned to assume the worst has happened. pretty good with just one or two likes from pals being most of my engagement tbh
Reading some of the comments in the original post is wild . If people like or comment on anything I post that’s awesome but I just want to share my thoughts with people and talk to them. Espeically silent hill 👀
Also idk if it’s just me but the 25 likes my video announcement got was a lot more than something similar would’ve gotten on twitter, it helps that everyone who was liking felt like they were actual real earnest people
I reeeeally don’t wanna be mean but the fact one of them is complaining about no one looking at their art and you look at the art and it’s some crappy paper doodles like I don’t think the website is the problem there
