I've had this Bonsai tree forever. I found it in an alley took it home and saved it from sure death. Can anyone tell me what kind of tree this is ?

"Ginseng" is just descriptive for ficus grown from seed, which develop characteristic bulgy roots that look vaguely like ginseng roots.
