Why? How many dollars were spent in an absolutely unwinnable senate race? The lack of judgement is astounding. Start small and run locally with good candidates and fund them, rebuild the party in this state from the ground up.

100% of the shots not taken don't score. High profile races like that demonstrate a level of support upon which local races need to build. Was it a waste of money? Perhaps. I agree that it has to start from the ground up, but IMO there has to be high level tests that get messages out to swing voters

Love Gloria, but the next TNDP Chair needs to be able to devote 110% of their time/energy/focus to the state party and candidates across this state, so including raising funds to spread across to those candidates in every part of the state.

Local and the incoming state chair are going to have their work cut out for them recruiting for 2026. After the (further) slide right of the voters, it’s going to be difficult to recruit any candidate to run on the democratic ticket.
