The loopholes in the PVPA was closed off by the Bowman v. Monsanto Co decision.

How about … varieties Monsanto can’t sue farmers for growing? Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, but “Non-GMO” has the same problem as “heirloom.”
When you depend on pesticide/herbicide-resistant crops and on not having to hire labor to care for plants without those advantages, that’s how it’ll be.
Which is why small farmers are more important than ever.
